So what is blepharoplasty? basically it’s eyelid surgery performed by a plastic surgeon. A surgical procedure that can be performed under local antasetic that removes the excess folds of skin in the upper lids and also the pouches, or as some people call them bags just under the eyes ( lower lids ). Thus you can have lower eyelid blepharoplasty and upper eyelid blepharoplasty… We now that’s cleared up we will call it upper and lower eyelid surgery.

There are number of reasons why to have this operation from wanting to have a better appearance, like me, to improving vision for the more serious situation where the skin is almost covering the eye. Welcome to my blog Cosmetic eyelid surgery. After me and a friend had our eyelid belpharoplasty surgery I have to admit that I was hooked. The plastic surgeon warned us both at the time that once we had our first surgery that we would be back for more cosmetic surgery to sort out, breast, bags under the eyes, face lifts, blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, excess skin under the arms and a range of other operation that I never knew existed. Well I thought it a bit cheeky of the doctor telling us this as I thought I was in pretty good nick for my 54 years. But after I saw the results of my eylids I had to admit that Dr Brown did in fact have a point. Why not correct the things that I was not 100% happy with.
